As Bollywood becomes inspired from it’s past, actor-producer Zayed Khan has a few inspiration’s of his own.

Having turned to producing not so long ago, Khan has expressed how he would like to work on remaking some of his uncle Feroz Khan’s major hits. “I would like to remake ‘Dharmatama’ (1975), ‘Qurbani’ (1980). I would love to do it for sure some day,”  reported Khan stating. 

Both films were directed and produced by the late Khan, and proved to be box office hits at the time. Khan goes onto add, “If something interesting happens and things fall in place then we would love to do it.” Well looking at the way remakes of the past are going so far, it seems best to stay away from them for the moment.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Most Texans seem to agree that the new high school graduation standards need to change, but there is little agreement on how to do it.

Options for new graduation standards range from five to 15 end-of-course exams, the scores of which may or may not count toward a student's grade point average. There is also a debate over whether high school kids should be able to choose to focus on college preparation or for vocational education when selecting classes.

4 Texas charter school groups had copied proposals

DALLAS (AP) — Four groups seeking to open charter schools in Texas turned in applications last year that had sections copied from other applications and even claimed parts of another school's public hearing summary as their own, The Dallas Morning News reported Sunday.

The newspaper reported (http://dallasne.ws/1212u3X ) that, despite the copied portions, the aspiring charter operators signed the applications attesting to their accuracy with the hope of winning approval from the State Board of Education and gaining millions of taxpayer dollars.

Sonam Kapoor upset by slums shooting

Shooting on location can be very tough for filmmakers and actors alike. News has it that recent shooting in the Dehli slums left Sonam Kapoor rather upset.

Currently shooting for her forthcoming film ‘Raanjhanaa’, as Kapoor arrived to the slums for shooting she quickly became very upset at the sight of the situation, the people were being faced with. According to Filmfare, director Anand L Rai tried very hard to calm the actress down, though she was still feeling rather upset after the shoot and didn’t leave in a better mood.

Let’s just hope the rest of her film making is a little more pleasant.
